Today we took PartyPlace outside.
We spent the afternoon in the park handing out free birthday cards. Not a generic grocery store card, but something a little more thoughtful: a reminder that their birthday deserves to be celebrated properly, with the people they love, at a place that actually fits the occasion.
The idea was simple. Birthdays are one of those things people say they'll plan and then suddenly it's the week of and nothing's been figured out. We wanted to put something in people's hands today, something they could tuck away for a friend, a sibling, a partner, whoever's coming up next on the calendar, that made the whole thing feel a little more intentional.
We loved meeting everyone who stopped by. It was a good reminder that the best part of what we do isn't the reservations or the venue matching or the logistics. It's that moment where someone gets to show up for the people they care about and not stress about any of the rest.
We're going to keep doing these. Different parks, different neighborhoods, different reasons to be outside and hand something free to a stranger. If you want to know where we'll be next, follow us on Instagram. That's where we'll post the when and where before each one.
And if your birthday (or someone else's) is coming up and you want help figuring out where to celebrate, that's exactly what we built PartyPlace for.
